The Guild

The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both men and women to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.

St Cuthbert’s Guild meets on alternate Wednesday evenings from October to April at 7.15 pm in the church hall. The meetings are varied and interesting covering such subjects as music, the environment, health, and the wider work of the church. Exploring our faith and learning more about the Bible are integral parts of the programme.

Social events play an important part in the fellowship of the Guild, with outings and parties. Annually the senior members of the church are entertained at Christmas.

Every year national projects are supported which reflect the wider work of the church. In previous years support has been given to BibleWorld, Summer Missions and the Christina Rainey Hospital in Madras.

The Guild extends a warm invitation to any members of the congegation and friends who would like to come along to any meeting during the session.
